    Modern Sapre and your Chevrolet-

Modern Spare provides spare tire kits specifically engineered for Chevrolet and GM cars.

On a 1-10 scale of the most iconic American cars, somewhere in the 10 range lies the Corvette and Camaro.  Both cars have a huge fan base.  Their style and performance have put a lot of smiles on a lot of faces over the years.

    America’s Sports Car

The Corvette carved out a unique space within the American car culture.  In 1953, the American market needed an American flavored two-seater sports car to compete with the Europan options.  The similar, early Ford Thunderbird evolved in an entirely different direction as years went on. The Corvette remained the original American sports car.  Over the years, competitive efforts by the likes of the Dodge Viper and others certainly grabbed our attention.  Meanwhile, the Corvette continued to improve, evolve and remain the showcase of GM’s best effort.  If you have a performance feature in your GM car, it’s likely those features were developed first in a Corvette.

    GM’s Pony Car

Born in the original muscle car era, the Camaro was not just an answer to the insanely popular Ford Mustang.  The Camaro debuted as a bold “gloves-off” response.  The Camaro’s first-gen styling was daringly modern.  Likewise, during the ’70s, when all domestic carmakers struggled, the Camaro held true to that same styling goal.  The Camaro left us after 2002 but reemerged in 2010.  The 2010 Camaro arrived in the same bold way it debuted in 1967.  Now, the Modern Spare Kit for the Camaro is one of our top selling products.

Your Modern Chevrolet needs a Modern Spare-

As a C5 Corvette owner, the founder of Modern Spare got inspired after a frustrating search for a spare tire solution.  Out of that frustrating search, Modern Spare was born with a clear focus on careful engineering and product quality (check out our “about us” page).  Modern Spare provides carefully engineered spare tire kits for the Chevrolet Impala, Malibu, Corvette, Camaro, and the rare SS.  We also provide spare tire kits for many other GM cars from Pontiac, Cadillac, Holden, and Buick. Our spare tire kits for each make and model receive the same careful engineering.

Modern Cars are highly engineered and very technical. Furthermore, the spare tires, previously provided by carmakers, were barely adequate. These “donut spares” are not ideal for the newer, sophisticated cars.  Limited slip differentials, All-wheel-drive systems, and traction control systems all require a modern approach to spare tire design.

    The Modern Spare Approach

We have considered all the modern car requirements needed to make a truly Modern Spare kit.  Your spare will have the needed clearance for your large performance brake calipers.* In addition, our lightweight alloy wheel has the exact and proper bolt pattern for your specific car.

Modern Spare equips each kit with a tire of the correct diameter yet is a narrow space-saving size.  You will have a spare tire that can operate at normal highway speeds and get you where you need to be without worry of range limitations.  Of course, being lightweight and easy to mount is an added benefit.

Every tool and accessory included in your complete kit was re-thought.  In fact, we gave each tool and accessory the same careful consideration as we did with our wheel and tire designs.

    We’ve got you covered-

You can now travel with peace of mind.  Modern Spare provides the right kit with the right fit for your Chevrolet.  Enter your car’s information below and select the best kit that suits your needs.  If you need assistance in making the right choice or finding the correct fit for your General Motors car, reach out to us here.

*Some high-performance cars will require kits that include a bolt-on wheel spacer to provide additional clearance over very large brake calipers.
