You may be aware of the story behind Rivian’s now-absent spare tire.

In a nutshell, Rivian once provided a spare tire as a standard feature with the R1T. Then, the spare became an add-on option (with added cost) selected during the ordering process. 

Now, as you may have discovered, a spare is not even an available option from Rivian either during the ordering process or after delivery.

Since Modern Spare is solely focused on spare tires and only spare tires, we went to work to make sure that you are not left in a bad situation when only a real spare tire will do. 

We went to work and proudly offer you and your Rivian real security against potential tire failures, whether you’re off-road or on the highway. 

What we did-

First, we realized that your Rivian needs a full-size spare tire and a fully capable one at that. Your R1T is an incredible off-road performer and anyone with off-roading experience knows a spare tire is an absolute must.  

Our spare tires for the Rivian R1T are available in two sizes that vary only by overall tire diameter. Of the three different OEM tire sizes Rivian offers, one of these spare tire sizes will be properly matched to your factory tire sizes. This ensures that your spare will have the correct “rolling diameter” the truck requires and allow you to get back on your way without worry

Second, you may have noticed the rather large high-performance brakes on your R1T. We made sure that our rugged steel wheel has the proper offset and clearance for this sophisticated brake system. 

Third, we chose a genuine, light truck, radial tire instead of a generic “get-you-by” type tire. It will be there when you need it and provide peace of mind for years to come.

And since we are on a roll, (sorry about the pun), we made sure that either tire size we offer will still fit into the storage compartment under the trunk bed of your R1T.
